Grasso compressor overhaul

RC-11 and RC-12 open-drive reciprocating compressors are still the workhorses of many ice plants and food rooms. Valve plates must be replaced as a set. Liner ovality, ring gap, pin clearance, and crank journals go on the last overhaul sheet — not a guess from a photo.

V-series packages add the oil system and capacity control on the same frame family. We supply, remanufacture, and overhaul these machines and keep pistons, liners, valve plates, connecting rods, and gasket sets so the shutdown is planned.

Screw overhauls fail when someone polishes a grooved carbon face and calls it a seal job. We replace mechanical shaft seals as a set, measure bearing play, inspect male/female lobes, and free the capacity and Vi slides. Carbonised oil on a slide piston looks like a “control fault” until the casing is open.
