Wrong spare parts extend shutdowns. A liner that is “close enough” for a Grasso RC-11 will score a piston in hours. A shaft seal kit for one screw frame size will leak on another even when the packing looks identical in a photo.
Always start from the nameplate: make, model, serial, and swept volume or frame. Photograph the failed part next to a scale. For piston machines — Grasso RC-11, RC-12, and V-series packages — the critical set is pistons, liners, valve plates, connecting rods, crankshaft journals, and gaskets. For screw machines it is rotors, bearings, mechanical shaft seals, slide valves, and gasket kits.
OEM and high-grade equivalents both have a place. Safety-critical sealing faces and valve plates should match original metallurgy. Fasteners and some gaskets can be high-grade replacements if dimensions and temperature rating are confirmed. Mixing unknown aftermarket reeds with OEM seats is a reliability gamble.
AmmoniaEquip sources parts for Grasso, Sabroe, Mycom, Howden, Vilter, York, and Danfoss-controlled rooms. We do not claim formal partnership with those manufacturers; we identify equipment so the plant gets the correct component. Lead time is shorter when the enquiry includes model, serial, and the failed item — not only “send a piston.”
Pair parts supply with overhaul labour. A valve-plate set without torque procedure and alignment still fails. Use us as a single-source partner when the plant needs both the kit and the technicians who will fit it inside the production window.
